ISDN2e Basic Rate Interface

This unit is designed for installation by network operators and provides the customer with an internationally recognised 2B+D Basic Rate Interface commonly known as a So Bus. The line code used is the BT preferred 2B1Q. Entirely line powered, the unit can support the local powering of an emergency telephone using a reverse polarity phantom feed on the So bus. The unit is compliant with the following standards:

• ETSI EN 300-012-1
• ETSI ETR 080
• BT Specifi cation RC7355
• BT Specifi cation RC9023E
• BTNR 251

Private Circuit LTU Range

This range of wall mount private circuit termination units are designed to terminate both 2 wire direct metallic path and 4 wire Tx and Rx amplifi ed private circuits. Developed primarily for BT, the units incorporate a local, manually instigated loop back switch for line testing. The 4 wire units have the ability to perform a remote loop back by utilising a special electronic PCB that detects an agreed loop back request.

The units are compliant with :

• BT Specifi cation RC 7351
• BT Specifi cation RC 5000

IDC Punch Down Tool

These LSA compatible IDC punch down tools have been
designed for industry standard IDC terminations.

• Inserts and crops wires simultaneously making
installation much easier
• Complete with extraction tool and stop clip

BT Plugs

This complete range of BS6312 BT licensed plugs are manufactured in fl ame retardant polyester and have gold plated IDT contacts

• Accepts both oval and D shaped cordage
• Available with either 4 or 6 contacts
• With left or right hand latch options

Insulation Displacement Connectors

Manufactured in fl ame retardant polyester, the Pressac range of printed circuit board IDC’s are approved to BT S1539 and D 2920A standards.

• Designed to accept two conductors, either standard or
   solid wire in the range 22 to 26 AWG (0.4 to 0.63mm)
• Capable of more than 200 re-terminations

10 Pair Disconnection Modules

These LSA compatible modules have been designed and manufactured to fi t in to Pressac’s back mount frames and box connection range (see page 9) along with other industry standard frames and connection boxes.

• Available in three colours; blue, green and cream
• Terminates ten pair cable
• Facilitates ‘look both ways’ disconnection testing
• Complementary designation strip can be ordered
separately to help identify incoming and outgoing    pairs

FD700 Distribution Frame

The FD700 is a single vertical distribution frame that requires no assembly and can be transported and installed by one person. It has been designed and manufactured to accept up to seventy of Pressac’s 10 pair disconnection modules or other industry standard LSA style IDC strip connectors.

• Up to 700 connections can be made on a single vertical
   frame
• Every ten strips are highlighted by a yellow arrow for
   ease of identification
• The four way earth bar can be top or bottom mounted
• High density cable management bars ensure the tidy
   dressing and routing of cable
• Optional baying kit can be fitted on site to join two
   FD700’s together either side by side or back to back
   producing a twin vertical distribution frame (as pictured)
• Manufactured in mild steel with high build powder fi nish

The P500 collection is a series of wall mounted  connection boxes with back mount frames manufactured in mild steel and fi nished in a light grey colour. Each has been designed to accept Pressac’s 10 pair disconnection modules and other industry standard IDC strips. The connection boxes are available with 340 pairs (P510), 680 pairs (P520) or 1020 pairs (P530).
Fully lockable door prevents unauthorized access and is equipped with a large document wallet for storing system information

• 180 degree opening door provides easy access
   whilst quick release door hinges allow for left or
   right opening applications
• Internal cable management is supported by
   jumper rings which are uniquely angled at the
   corners for cable fl exibility
• Stainless steel back mounts are permanently
   connected to a 5 way earth bar
• Ten 80mm knockouts are conveniently placed
   for ease of cable access
• Twin tapped 226 mounting rails can be removed
   to allow up to an extra 50 pairs on each vertical
   (5 pair back mount extension frame required as

External NTE

The Pressac External NTE Unit is designed to terminate either 1 or 2 residential telephone lines on the outside of a customer premise.
It consists of an External Mounted Box which houses a single Line Termination Module which terminates a single line. A further LTM can be added for a second line installation.

External Box Features
• Moulded grey case, V0 rated fl ammability and UV stable
• Hinged ‘snap on’ lid with clip release
• Captivated ‘threaded’ screw for security of lid when
   closed with security tag feature
• No customer access to Operator’s Network connections
• One rear & three side facing knockouts for both network

NTE5 VDSL Interstitial Filter

The Pressac VDSL Interstitial faceplate is designed to be inserted between the main housing of a residential NTE5 telephone socket and the removable Customer Connection Unit. It is designed to allow end user installation of a VDSL filter solution without the need for removing any existing telephone
extension wiring.

NTE5 Interstitial Faceplate

The Pressac Filtered Interstitial faceplate is designed to be inserted between the main housing of a residential NTE5 telephone socket and the removable Customer Connection Unit. It is designed to enhance the potential broadband performance of a customer’s line by:

• Providing a fi ltered ‘bell wire’ which reduces the
   amount of noise picked up by home extension wiring from
   affecting the broadband ADSL signal.
• Providing common mode fi ltering of RF signals
   without affecting frequencies in the ADSL band.
• Installation possible without need to remove
   existing telephone wiring.

Centralised ADSL Filter

The Pressac Centralised ADSL Filter is designed to plug into a standard NTE5 residential telephone outlet. It provides a straight through connection for DSL modem connection via a shuttered RJ45 socket as well as a fi ltered telephone socket and fi ltered 3 way IDC connector for onward connection of extension telephones. With the centralised fi lter system, the fi lter becomes an integral part of the wall socket providing a tidy looking fi xture with the added benefi t of negating the need for subsequent extension sockets to have microfi lters plugged into them. A 6 way IDC version is also available that allows onward connection of both telephone (fi ltered) and DSL modem (unfi ltered) wiring.

Network Terminating Equipment 5A/B

The NTE5 is the preferred way of terminating a residential copper line in the customer premise in the UK.
